Arrest of 8 Individuals in Various Towns for Committing Different Crimes

The military leadership announced that "as part of the security measures being taken by the military institution in various regions, patrols from the Intelligence Directorate arrested 6 individuals as follows: - Citizens (A.T.) in the town of Barja and (M.G.) in the town of Jiyeh for forming a motorcycle theft gang and committing the theft of around 20 motorcycles in the Chouf area. Also arrested was citizen (A.M.) for his connection to the aforementioned gang, for wandering without legal documents, for drug use and possession of a quantity of drugs, and for working on transporting the stolen motorcycles between Palestinian camps and various areas. - Palestinian (Y.S.) in the town of Barja for committing the theft of around 13 motorcycles and several cars in the Chouf area, selling them in the Sabra area, in addition to drug use and possession of a quantity of drugs and wandering without identification documents. - Citizen (R.A.) and Syrian (H.S.) in the town of Deir Zahrani - South for forming, along with others, a gang for pickpocketing and stealing, including the pickpocketing of mobile phones and drug use." Additionally, a unit from the army in the towns of Rweimeh and Shadra - Akkar arrested citizens (S.H.) and (F.R.) and seized a large quantity of hashish and Captagon pills. The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrested individuals commenced under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
