Lebanon will be affected starting today, Monday, by a strong heatwave originating from the Arabian Peninsula. Father Eli Khenisser, a specialist in weather conditions and climatology, predicts that it will last until the end of this week, noting that temperatures will exceed seasonal averages, peaking at 37 degrees in the Bekaa Valley, 32 degrees in the mountains, and 33 degrees along the coast. Khenisser pointed out that humidity levels on the coast will reach nearly 90 percent, which will increase the feeling of heat, warning against exposure to sunlight during midday hours.
