Ayman Safadi: Israel Has Become a "Pariah"

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stated that the vote in the United Nations General Assembly, endorsing the full membership of the State of Palestine, "proves that Israel has become a pariah state." Safadi said, "As Israel's barbaric aggression against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza continues, the majority of the world stood on the side of justice today and supported Palestinian membership in the UN in a decision that further confirms that Israel has become a pariah state." He added, "We thank all who took this stand." For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that the decision "reflects an international consensus on the right of the State of Palestine to full membership in the United Nations," calling on the UN Security Council to "reconsider the request for Palestine's membership... without delay."
