An Egyptian doctor clarified the dangerous symptoms of the illness that afflicted the late artist Salah El Sadrani, suggesting that his prolific artistic output led to Alzheimer’s disease in his later years. Dr. Anwar El Atrebi, a professor of psychiatric and neurological diseases at Ain Shams University in Cairo, stated during a phone interview on the program "Salah El Tahrir" on "Sada El Balad" channel that “Salah El Sadrani's artistic production was very abundant, which contributed to his Alzheimer's disease in his final years.”
He added that “memory loss diseases are caused by multiple injuries to the brain’s blood vessels, but current treatment results have significantly improved in reducing the severity of Alzheimer's disease.” He pointed out that “Alzheimer's disease typically occurs after the age of 50, and there is no protection against the disease; forgetfulness comes like rain from clouds.”
El Atrebi confirmed: “The brain undergoes decay when Alzheimer's occurs, and there are symptoms that precede the disease related to injuries in the brain’s blood vessels and strokes.”
