The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced today, Friday, in a statement that "as part of the ongoing monitoring conducted by the Internal Security Forces to pursue those involved in motorcycle thefts from various regional areas in Lebanon, information was gathered by the Information Division regarding the activities of unidentified individuals stealing motorcycles in the Batroun area and its surroundings. Following this, and as a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, this division identified the members of the gang, who are: A. R. N. (born in 1999, Palestinian), N. A. (born in 1996, Palestinian), and A. A. (born in 1991, Palestinian).

On March 1, 2024, and after precise surveillance, one of the Information Division patrols spotted them in a "Hyundai" vehicle of a greenish color bearing a forged license plate in the Batroun area. They established a tight ambush that resulted in their arrest and the seizure of the car they were in. Upon searching them and the vehicle, tools used in the theft operations were found, along with a motorcycle helmet and a dagger belonging to one of their victims.

During the investigation, they confessed to the charges against them regarding multiple motorcycle thefts from the Batroun area and its surroundings. Legal procedures were taken against them, and they were referred along with the seized items to the designated authority based on the judiciary's instructions." Another gang involved in motorcycle thefts was brought down by the blows from the Information Division. #ISF #SecurityIsTrust — Internal Security Forces (@LebISF) March 8, 2024
