A tremor measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck the outskirts of the city of Ravar, in northern Kerman province, located in southeastern Iran, early Thursday morning. The Seismological Institute of Tehran University reported that the earthquake occurred at 4:37 AM local time (1:07 AM GMT), 33 km from the city of Ravar and at a depth of 10 km from the Earth's surface. According to a report from the Crisis Operations Center at Kerman University of Medical Sciences, evaluations by specialized teams in the affected areas indicated that no injuries or fatalities were recorded.
