Title: Al-Ṣafadi to Iranian Counterpart: We Will Not Allow Violations of Our Airspace by Israel or Iran

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Ṣafadi confirmed to his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian that Amman will not allow either Iran or Israel to violate Jordanian airspace and endanger its security and the safety of its citizens. In a phone call with his Iranian counterpart following reports of an Israeli attack against Iran, Al-Ṣafadi stated that Jordan will not permit breaches of its airspace by Iran or Israel. He emphasized that "the current escalation only serves to divert attention away from the Israeli aggression against Gaza, which should be prioritized for cessation by all efforts." He added that Jordan has never and will never allow Israel to breach its airspace to target Iran, nor will it allow Iran to breach its airspace. For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister stated that his country respects Jordan and is keen on its security and the security of the region.
