A delegation of Iranian journalists, headed by the Iranian Deputy Minister of Culture Farshad Mahdipur, visited Baghdad on Friday and met with several heads of Iraqi agencies and newspapers to discuss media cooperation.
The Director of the Media Regulation Department at the Media and Communications Authority, Jader Al-Jader, stated that "the Iranian delegation, led by the Iranian Deputy Minister of Culture and accompanied by a group of Iranian journalists, was invited to Iraq to meet with their Iraqi media counterparts, including the editors-in-chief of various agencies and newspapers."
He added that "there is significant development in relations between the two countries in all fields, and there is also noticeable progress at the media level. It is essential to have an exchange of experiences, visits, and news cooperation, in addition to coordination in supporting Islamic causes, especially the Palestinian issue, and exposing the Zionist entity for its crimes."
He further mentioned that "the head of the Media and Communications Authority spoke with the Iranian delegation about the necessity of cooperation between the two countries in exchanging experiences and news, through agreements that bind both countries and organize the media sector in a way that serves the interests of Iraq and Iran."
