Explosion at Home Improvement Store in Romania

Romanian authorities reported today, Friday, that an explosion occurred at a chain of home improvement stores in the northeastern part of the country, resulting in injuries to at least 13 people, one of whom is in serious condition. Emergency services stated that a mobile intensive care unit was dispatched to the scene in the town of Botoșani in Suceava County. One of the injured is in serious condition, while 10 are conscious but suffering from "various shocks and burns" and are receiving medical care. Emergency helicopters, two ambulances, and two fire trucks were sent to the location to extinguish the fire. Meanwhile, a search and rescue operation was underway inside the store. The cause of the explosion is not immediately clear, nor is it known whether the injured were customers or employees.
