The President of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, met today, Tuesday, in Maarab, with a delegation from the Progressive Socialist Party, which included the party's president, MP Taymour Jumblatt, and MPs Marwan Hamadeh, Akram Chehayeb, and Wael Abou Faour, in the presence of MPs Ghassan Hasbani and Nazih Metri. After the meeting, Chehayeb stated: "It is essential to seriously explore the common ground among political forces to reach a president for the republic who unites rather than divides." He added, "Our visit today is not aimed at creating a new initiative or proposing new names, and the interest of the country necessitates constant movement, so that stagnation does not continue as the country is under significant pressure." The Progressive Socialist delegation also visited the President of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil.
