Four members of the Islamic Health Body were killed in the town of Bleda due to an airstrike by the Israeli army on the body’s civil defense center in the town. The aggression resulted in the destruction of the building, and debris removal efforts continued throughout the night. In response, a statement was issued by the Islamic Resistance - Hezbollah, stating: "In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with their valiant and honorable resistance, and in response to the Israeli aggressions on villages and civilian homes, the Islamic Resistance fighters struck the Ma'ale Gilboa barracks with a rocket barrage at 11:30 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Our fighters also launched an aerial attack with two attack drones on the regional council headquarters in Kiryat Shmona."
Hezbollah mourns three of its members; in this context, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced in a statement that "with great pride and honor, the Islamic Resistance announces the martyrdom of the fighter Muhammad Hassan Tarraf 'Ahmad', born in 1986 in the town of Bleda in southern Lebanon." It added: "The Directorate General of Civil Defense - the body mourns the martyr paramedic Hussein Muhammad Khleil 'Hussein', born in 1997 in the town of Barashit in southern Lebanon, and paramedic Muhammad Yaqub Ismail 'Abu Yaqub', born in 1994 in the town of Bleda in southern Lebanon."
