Members of the Marine Rescue Unit in the Civil Defense, along with nearby ground centers and civil rescuers on jet skis, managed to rescue citizens who were nearly drowning due to high waves and strong currents while swimming off Byblos beach. The rescue teams provided the necessary first aid to ensure their safety.
