The Mayor of Arsal, Basel Al-Hujeiri, revealed that there are 300 cases of skin rashes and hepatitis among Syrian displaced persons in the camps in Arsal, noting that the unsanitary conditions in the camps have led to these infections. In response to a question about the flooding of sewage water in Arsal, Al-Hujeiri pointed out, via Voice of Lebanon, that UNICEF has reduced the share of drinking water provided to each individual, and there has been a significant decline in the system that organizes the removal of sewage water. He stated, "We are now facing a crisis because the cost of removing sewage water is very high." In answer to a question about health services, Al-Hujeiri mentioned that some free clinics supported by international organizations provide medical check-ups and medicine, and if unavailable, they collaborate with the Ministry of Health.
