Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Wednesday that Moscow is prepared to work towards forming a multipolar world order and enhancing global security with all interested parties. In a video address to participants of the 12th International Meeting of High-Level Security Officials, held in Saint Petersburg under the auspices of the Russian Security Council, Putin said, "Russia is ready for close cooperation with all partners interested in ensuring global and regional security and in forming a new multipolar world order that meets the interests of the majority of nations."
The Russian president emphasized the necessity of identifying and punishing all agents and sponsors orchestrating the terrorist attack that occurred at the "Crocus City Hall" complex in the suburbs of Moscow on March 22. He stated, "Security forces and the relevant authorities in Russia continue to investigate and examine all details of this heinous crime, identifying those involved, including agents, sponsors, and organizers," asserting the importance that none should escape just punishment.
Putin noted that terrorism remains one of the gravest threats in the 21st century, pointing out that terrorist attacks, which are also supported by intelligence agencies in some countries, aim to undermine constitutional foundations, destabilize sovereign nations, and incite hatred among ethnicities and religions. He remarked that the methods of criminals have become "more sophisticated and barbaric," as evidenced once again by the bloody terrorist attack that targeted the "Crocus" hall in the outskirts of Moscow.
It is noteworthy that a terrorist attack occurred on the evening of March 22 at the entertainment complex "Crocus City Hall" in Krasnogorsk near Moscow, resulting in 144 fatalities and 551 injuries. Eleven individuals, including all four attackers, were arrested in connection with the terrorist assault. The Russian Investigative Committee announced a link between the perpetrators of the attack and Ukrainian nationalist extremists.
