Syrian Arrested for Smuggling People, Medicines, and Goods

A patrol from the State Security Office in Zahle raided a café in Chtaura and arrested Syrian national E.H., acting on the orders of the public prosecutor in the Beqaa, Judge Munif Barakat. The arrestee is the mastermind behind the smuggling of people, medicines, and various goods in the central Beqaa through illegal means and orchestrates smuggling operations across all crossings, coordinating with gangs inside Syrian territory as well as smuggling gangs within Lebanon. He has confessed to the charges against him, and efforts are underway to arrest other individuals involved in coordination with the relevant judiciary.
