A major controversy was sparked by Egyptian artist Meryhan Hussein in recent days after her breakup with her fiancé just days before their wedding. However, the shocking surprise mentioned in some media reports suggests that Meryhan Hussein's breakup with her fiancé was due to the latter's connection with Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab, who recently separated from her husband Hossam Habib.
These reports were based on the sighting of Meryhan's ex-fiancé with Sherine Abdel Wahab at her recent concert after she announced her separation and return to her audience. These matters greatly angered Sherine Abdel Wahab, prompting her to issue an angry statement through her lawyer, stating her intention to sue anyone who promotes such matters or disrupts her relationships with her colleagues.
Initially, Meryhan Hussein spoke about the impact of her failed engagement, affirming that she is not a weak person and that her personal life does not significantly affect her artistic life. She always tries to keep the two separate and refuses to give in despite her feelings, which she hates.
When asked if she received public sympathy against Sherine Abdel Wahab because of the situation, she replied, "Don't mention names... Don't mention any names at all." Meryhan then ignored further discussions about Sherine Abdel Wahab or what is being said, confirming that her personal life consists of just coming out of a romantic relationship after being engaged for a full year, with her wedding supposed to be held next February.
However, that did not happen in the end, and she requested that no other names be mentioned in this context when talking to her. She stated, "I don't know who loves whom... and who is doing what." Regarding whether she is seeking her rights due to what happened, she confirmed that in the end, it is destiny, and there is no right for her to seek, especially since she believes that good people are meant for each other and that everything in life is destined. She also mentioned that her mother was happy about the cancellation of her marriage, telling her, "You deserve better."
