Hamas leader Osama Hamdan stated that the Israeli war has revealed the international community's inability to stop it and has exposed double standards. He mentioned, "The catastrophic humanitarian situation is worsening due to the ongoing indiscriminate bombardment, collective massacres, and field killings. There is an urgent need for medicine and food for all residents of the Gaza Strip," warning of the danger of Israel committing a new massacre at Al-Amal Hospital and Nasser Medical Complex.
In response to the framework agreement in Paris, he said, "We have provided our remarks on the proposal to ensure a ceasefire, lift the siege, accomplish a prisoner exchange, and allow aid entry, and we have engaged positively for the sake of reconstruction." He announced that a delegation from the movement's leadership, headed by Khalil Al-Hayya, will go to Cairo to follow up on the proposal under Egyptian and Qatari sponsorship.
Hamdan added, "Ending the aggression against the Gaza Strip and recognizing the rights of the Palestinian people is the only title for stability in the region." He criticized the Israeli military spokesperson's claims of finding documents connecting Iran and Hamas, stating, "What the spokesperson for the occupation army published about the resistance's relationship with Iran is a farcical play; the lies of the occupation and attempts to market them are unconvincing to anyone, and independent global journalism has debunked them."
Hamdan renewed the call not to be drawn into Israeli propaganda and to maintain objectivity and credibility in dealing with the news: "We call on our people not to respond to all forms of lies and deception practiced by the Zionist occupation and not to be influenced by what it may publish from propaganda aimed at affecting their morale. We affirm that the only source of information will remain the resistance, which has been honest with its people for over 120 days of confrontation with the occupation."
He continued, "We call on our fighters from all resistance factions, including the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Saraya al-Quds, and all resistance forces, to continue confronting and to maintain caution; particularly from the treachery of this occupation in the last moments of this confrontation, especially as we seek to end this aggression in a manner befitting the sacrifices of our people and the resistance."
Hamdan warned against "colluding with the occupation's plans to target UNRWA, considering it a conspiracy aimed at liquidating the right of return and punishing our people while tightening the noose around them." He concluded, "The continued bombardment of Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria is a blatant violation of the sovereignty of neighboring countries and a direct threat to security in the region. We reaffirm that the key to calm and stability in the region is the immediate and direct cessation of the Zionist aggression against our people and the end of the fascist occupation of our land and sanctities."
