The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Branch issued the following statement today, Saturday: "As part of the continuous monitoring conducted by the Internal Security Forces to limit drug trafficking and promotion, and as a result of the diligent efforts of the Beirut Information Division, they tracked the activity of a dealer who was promoting drugs in a car within the capital, Beirut. Through investigations and surveillance, the division identified his identity and location; he is named: E. N. (born in 1986, Lebanese).
On May 21, 2024, after careful monitoring, a patrol from the division executed a tight ambush in the Bachara al-Khoury area of Beirut, where he was arrested along with two young women in a black Kia car, which was seized, after he attempted to escape and throw a bag containing drugs out of the car window. Approximately half a kilogram of cocaine was seized, divided into 35 packets, in addition to two packets, one containing hashish and the other containing narcotic pills.
The arrested individuals and the seized items were handed over to the relevant unit for further investigation, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary."
