Statement from General Security Regarding the Return of Syrian Displaced Persons: What Does It Include?

The Media Affairs Office of General Security announced in the following statement: "The General Directorate of General Security has resumed voluntary return operations for Syrians in Lebanon, which began in 2019. The directorate organized the return of Syrian nationals starting from this morning through the General Security border centers in Arsal and Al-Qaa, including 225 individuals, in coordination with the security authorities on the Syrian side, and in the presence of observers from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees." The statement added: "The General Directorate of General Security reminds Syrian nationals in Lebanon, whether registered with the commission or violators of residency regulations, who wish to return to Syria, to approach the General Security centers to register their names."
