According to information from LBCI, a meeting of the Quintet Committee will be held at the U.S. embassy in Aoukar next Wednesday. In this context, U.S. embassy spokesperson Matt Josko told LBCI that "the Quintet Committee continues to pressure for the election of a president who can unite the country, combat corruption, and implement the essential reforms needed for Lebanon's recovery and revitalization." He indicated that "the Lebanese people deserve a democratically elected government that is accountable and represents them on the global stage." He emphasized that "Lebanon needs to elect a president capable of uniting the country and implementing the necessary reforms as quickly as possible, and this is unrelated to the internal U.S. elections."
