Israeli Army Uses Catapult (Video)

Social media users have circulated a video showing the Israeli army launching incendiary projectiles toward Lebanese territory to ignite fires using primitive methods. The video depicts Israeli soldiers standing behind the barrier separating Lebanon and Israel, using a catapult to hurl firebombs into Lebanon. According to the Israeli site Ynet, "reserve soldiers used old weapons to burn thousands of dunams of forests suspected of hiding Hezbollah positions," noting that "junior officers were involved in this action." It revealed that "this move did not please senior officials in the northern sector, as it was a spontaneous action by the soldiers."
