In a joint operation by the Israeli army and the Shin Bet, an airstrike by the Air Force, guided by intelligence from Shin Bet and the Navy, eliminated Hamas's naval force leader in Gaza, Ahmed Ali, on Wednesday. The Israeli army stated in a press release that the air force killed the military leader using an aircraft "based on intelligence from the General Security Service and the Navy."
They added that Ali was "managing projects for Hamas's naval force in the sector... and promoted offensive activities aimed at Israeli territories" and the Gaza Strip during the conflict. It was noted that in recent weeks, he "had been promoting terrorist operations against the Defense Forces operating in the central Gaza Strip."
