Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune confirmed that "the gang targeting the Council for the Renewal of the Algerian Economy and tarnishing its reputation is breathing its last," while highlighting the value of investment projects in the country. President Tebboune met with a delegation from the Council for the Renewal of the Algerian Economy on Wednesday, and it was stated that "the value of investment projects in Algeria, up until the end of February, reached no less than 3,950 billion dinars." The meeting also mentioned that the total number of investment projects from November 2022 to the end of February 2024 amounted to 6,103 projects valued at 3,068 billion dinars, which created 150,000 direct jobs. Moreover, the value of foreign direct investments reached 38 billion dinars, while the projects valued at 844 billion dinars were in partnership.
Additionally, the Algerian president congratulated the Council for the Renewal of the Economy, led by Kamal Moulai, for its contributing role in building the national economy, which earns it full trust from the president and respect from foreign partners. He praised what he termed as "success in contributing to the stability of the national market and all economic actors." Tebboune emphasized that the Council for the Renewal of the Algerian Economy is a national organization comprised of patriotic and honest members, encouraging them and all economic stakeholders to move forward in developing the national economy despite attempts to target and tarnish its reputation by the minions of the gang that are breathing their last.
