Iraqi security authorities have arrested a woman who impersonated a pediatrician, deceiving citizens into believing that she worked at a hospital in the capital, Baghdad. The spokesperson for the Security Media Cell, Brigadier Mukdad Miri, stated in a release that "intelligence units specialized in counter-terrorism in Baghdad/Rusafa detected information indicating that a woman was impersonating a pediatrician and deceiving citizens into believing she worked at a Baghdad hospital." He added that "an intelligence team was immediately formed in collaboration with Baghdad Rusafa Police, and field monitoring led to the arrest of the suspect in the act after obtaining the necessary judicial approvals. She was handed over to the relevant judicial authorities to receive her due punishment under the law."
