Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Friday that police arrested ten individuals believed to be connected to "ISIS," with five of them placed under detention. Yerlikaya added that the Turkish intelligence agency (MIT) and police and anti-terrorism forces conducted an operation in the coastal city of Izmir after information indicated that the suspects had hidden some supplies in the city. He explained that authorities found gel explosive materials and substances used to manufacture explosives, along with weapons and ammunition concealed in the mountainous Bornova area of Izmir. The minister stated via the social media platform "X," "As a result of the operation, 10 suspected individuals were arrested; five of them were detained, and judicial control rulings were issued for five others." Under the terms of judicial control, the suspects may leave police detention centers but are subject to certain conditions and restrictions.
