Israeli Channel 7 reported that Egypt and Qatar rejected an Israeli proposal for joint management with Tel Aviv of the Gaza Strip. The channel added that Cairo and Doha informed the United States that they oppose any continued Israeli governance of Gaza in any form the day after the war. The channel noted that the UAE, through its Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed, dismissed the possibility of Israel being part of a management mechanism for Gaza under Israeli control after the war. Bin Zayed criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after he suggested that moderate Arab countries would manage Gaza under Israeli security control. He condemned Netanyahu's statements regarding a call for the UAE to participate in the civil administration of Gaza. The UAE confirmed that Netanyahu lacks any legal authority to take such a step and that Abu Dhabi refuses to be drawn into any plan aimed at providing cover for the Israeli presence in Gaza.
