South Africa: The United States

South Africa's Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Naledi Pandor, indicated that "if the International Criminal Court is allowed to prosecute Israeli leadership, then the United States 'will be next'." Pandor affirmed the expectation of U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, according to the Israeli newspaper "Jerusalem Post." The South African minister, who was wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh, stated, "Johnson said that if the International Criminal Court is allowed to pursue Israeli leaders, we know that America will be next. Our response is: of course!" South Africa has been proactive in pursuing Israel before the International Court of Justice due to its attack on the Gaza Strip. The court issued an order days ago for Israel to halt its attacks on Rafah; however, Israel ignored it. U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham also reiterated Johnson's warning, saying, "The same model they are using to pursue Israel and the Israeli army will be used against us."
