3 Dead in Israeli Airstrike Targeting Home in Southern Lebanon

Reports indicated today, Wednesday, that three people were killed as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting a house in the town of Khyam in southern Lebanon. Local reports stated that the airstrike also left several individuals injured and completely destroyed the house. The Israeli Air Force had carried out a series of airstrikes targeting the outskirts of the town of Aita al-Shaab and the forested area between Aita al-Shaab and Ramya. An airstrike was also recorded on the outskirts between Hula and Markaba, while Israeli artillery targeted the outskirts of Naqoura, Kfar Shouba, Haltah, Kfar Hammam, and the town of Yaron. Israeli planes targeted Tel Nahas on the outskirts of Kfarkala, and conducted strikes on the hill of the Gazelle in Aramta in the Jabal al-Rihan area and on the town of Khyam. The airstrikes ignited fires in the forests adjacent to the Blue Line near the towns of Ramya and Aita al-Shaab.

Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee confirmed today the carrying out of airstrikes on "Hezbollah" targets in six areas of southern Lebanon last night. He stated, "During the hours of last night, warplanes struck military buildings belonging to Hezbollah in Kfarkala, Aita al-Shaab, Khyam, and Maroun al-Ras," adding that aircraft also targeted Hezbollah positions in Hula and Aitaroun in southern Lebanon.

In contrast, Hezbollah announced it targeted a building used by Israeli soldiers in the Metula settlement, another in the Manara settlement, and two buildings in the Shlomi settlement. In the early hours, the outskirts of the towns of Ramesh and Ramya came under fire from heavy machine guns from Israeli positions adjacent to the Blue Line, targeting water tanks on rooftops and roads between the border villages.
