Google announced the launch of a new application that helps Pixel phone users diagnose potential issues with their devices. Google indicated that the "Pixel Diagnostic" app will allow users to determine if their phones are functioning correctly after repair, and it can also be used to scan the phone for any technical problems.
The new application can be activated by entering the code #*#7287#*# via the phone's dial pad. Once activated, users will receive several options: a complete device diagnosis option and the ability to perform individual tests for specific components, such as the screen, sensors, connectivity, cameras, or speakers.
Google noted that the app currently works on Pixel phones in English only and is available to users in the United States, the UK, Canada, Australia, European countries, and several other nations where its phones are sold.
Additionally, Google has also launched a "Repair Mode" feature for its phones, where users will be able to hide all data, including photos, videos, and files, before handing their device over for maintenance, ensuring that this data does not leak.
