The China National Space Administration reported that the uncrewed Chinese probe "Chang'e 6" is on its way back to Earth after collecting rock samples from the far side of the Moon. According to the Chinese news agency Xinhua, the space vehicle's landing module "Chang'e 6" landed on the far side of the Moon last Sunday and took off again from the lunar surface on Tuesday. It specified that this module has reached the planned lunar orbit with the samples on board. The Chinese space agency added that the equipment on the probe functioned as expected, and the probe withstood the high temperatures on the far side of the celestial body, but the launch was particularly critical.
