The Swiss Football Association has announced the termination of the services of Inka Grings, the head coach of the women's national team, due to the team's declining performance. The German coach, 45, took over the team in January but was unable to make a significant impact, with the team exiting in the Round of 16 at the Women's World Cup. Grings is recognized as the second top scorer in the history of the women's Bundesliga. She stated, "I regretfully decided to take this step to alleviate the pressure on the team and the association in light of current events." She added, "It was a wonderful period for me with many unique experiences as a national team coach." The Swiss Football Association has not announced a replacement for the German coach.
