The U.S. Central Command indicated today, Thursday, that "its forces launched four strikes yesterday, Wednesday, on areas under Houthi control in Yemen, where the Iran-aligned group was preparing to target ships in the Red Sea." It stated, "U.S. forces seized advanced conventional weapons and other lethal aid from Iran that were heading to Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen aboard a ship in the Arabian Sea on January 28." The Houthis have been attacking cargo ships in the Red Sea with drones and missiles since mid-November, in support of the Palestinians in Gaza.
