Seizure of Drug Trafficking Network in Kuwait

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 6 individuals, two of whom work in the General Administration of Customs, in possession of drugs they attempted to smuggle into the country via Kuwait International Airport. The ministry reported that "the suspects (5 citizens and 1 citizen woman), including two employees of the General Administration of Customs, were found in possession of approximately 1 million capsules of the drug Lyrica which they attempted to bring into the country." The value of the seized items is estimated at 2 million Kuwaiti Dinars. It was pointed out that the arrested individuals and the seized items have been referred to the relevant authorities for all necessary legal procedures against them.
