Israeli warplanes conducted a number of mock strikes over villages in the western sector after midnight on Monday, coinciding with the launching of flares over villages in both the western and central sectors. At one minute past midnight, two airstrikes targeted the town of al-Khiam, followed by a heavy strike with four missiles on the town of Kafr Kila, using heavy missiles known as "Sharon" seismic missiles, which caused significant destruction in the town. Additionally, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flew over the villages in the Tyre district, the coastline, and above the Blue Line adjacent to the international border with Israel.
