EU ministers announced that they are urgently discussing the possibility of providing more air defenses for Ukraine. They stated, "We have not reached the point of committing to providing the Patriot missile defense systems that Kyiv urgently desires." Since Ukraine's campaign to obtain more Patriot missiles in recent weeks, Germany has been the only EU country to pledge an additional battery of missiles. EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell expressed his frustration over the lack of other commitments, stating that he is trying to make everyone understand the need to do more to assist Kyiv. He added, "I don’t have Patriot missiles in Brussels; Patriot missiles are in the capitals, and it is up to them to make decisions in this regard."
