Hamas leader Osama Hamdan confirmed during a press conference held in Beirut that "the signs of failure are clear in the clash between the partners in the genocide process in Israel, to the extent of physical confrontation, reaching the threat of calling troops under their command to participate in this clash." He stated, "The Al-Aqsa Flood operation was a necessary step and a natural response to confront the conspiracies being hatched to liquidate our cause. It pains us that the residents of the Gaza Strip have been forced to grind animal feed due to the lack of flour and food while they continue to steadfastly remain on their land despite all the death and destruction." Hamdan called for the World Health Organization to declare Gaza a famine area.
He continued: "For the 108th day, the Nazi occupation continues its barbaric aggression and genocide against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, during which it has committed heinous crimes and horrific massacres against defenseless civilians, most of whom are women and children, through ongoing indiscriminate bombardment and the systematic destruction of all the elements of human life in all areas of the Gaza Strip. There are no safe areas in Gaza, as claimed by the occupation and the American administration. The nature of the third phase being promoted by this Nazi enemy with American and Western support is no longer hidden; all these declared phases are nothing but a continuation and escalation of the genocide, ethnic cleansing, and savage revenge against our people in Gaza."
He added, "After 108 days of this Zionist-American war against Gaza, the scene shows the enemy's failure to achieve any of its aggressive objectives; it is neither capable of breaking the will of our great, patient, steadfast, and sacrificing people, nor can it defeat the resistance. Our people have not departed their land, the resistance has not raised the white flag, and its captives have not returned alive to it, except for those released by the resistance on its terms."
He announced that Hamas has prepared a document outlining all the requirements for entering the "Flood of Al-Aqsa" battle, and those wishing to follow it should read it through the movement's websites. He expressed sorrow that "more than half a million of our people in northern Gaza are at risk of starving." He urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to intervene to open the crossings immediately.
