Paris Saint-Germain fans made a special farewell to Kylian Mbappé before his last match with the team at the "Parc des Princes" on Sunday. Supporters in the stands displayed a special banner for Mbappé and chanted for him, greeting him warmly. The 25-year-old player acknowledged the crowd, took pictures with fans behind him, and then headed to the locker room in preparation for the match against Toulouse in the 33rd and penultimate round of the French league.
Another banner was raised to bid farewell to the French star, which read: "A child from the suburbs of Paris has become a legend for Paris Saint-Germain." Mbappé was part of the starting lineup for PSG in the match against Toulouse and scored a goal in the eighth minute, but his team lost the game 1-3.
The match against Toulouse was a formality for PSG, who secured the league title several rounds earlier. Mbappé increased his scoring tally to 27 goals in 29 matches in the French league this season, and 256 goals in all competitions since joining the club, marking his 306th game. Last Friday, Mbappé officially announced his departure from Paris Saint-Germain after spending seven seasons with the capital team.
