Yemeni archaeology researcher Abdullah Mohsen announced that one of the rare archaeological pieces is being sold in Israel, marking the seventh artifact from Yemen currently showcased there. Mohsen stated in a social media post, "From inside the auction gallery in Tel Aviv (Jaffa)! A rare ancient bronze statue of a young man from ancient Yemen."
He added, "Starting Sunday, March 24, visitors with pre-arranged appointments began visiting the auction gallery of the archaeological center organized by the controversial Israeli archaeologist Dr. Robert Deutsch on the global auction platform Bidsprite, at the Dan Tel Aviv Hotel overlooking the city's beachfront along the Mediterranean Sea, which is a favorite hotel for Bill and Hillary Clinton, Paul McCartney, Madonna, the Rolling Stones, and Lady Gaga."
Mohsen clarified that "although the auction initially promoted six artifacts from Yemen, a seventh artifact was added that had previously been showcased on October 3, 2023, and it received attention at this auction," specifying that this artifact "is a bronze statue of a young man, over half a meter tall (61 cm), dating from the 4th to the 2nd century BC."
Earlier last week, Mohsen revealed that six archaeological artifacts from Yemen would be displayed at "the archaeological center" organized by the well-known and controversial Israeli archaeologist Dr. Robert Deutsch on the global auction platform Bidsprite for the upcoming auction on April 25, 2024, noting that this auction had previously announced the sale of dozens of artifacts that had been smuggled from Yemen, without oversight from the relevant authorities in the country.
