Meloni Seeks Compensation for Deepfake Porn Videos

Lawyers for Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni are demanding a compensation of 100,000 euros after fake porn videos featuring her were posted online. Meloni is scheduled to testify in court in the city of Sassari on the Italian island of Sardinia on July 2nd. The deepfake image is a technique in which a person's face is digitally added to another person's body. A 40-year-old man, believed to have produced the videos, and his 73-year-old father are under investigation.
