The General Directorate of Civil Defense in Saudi Arabia has called for caution and the necessity to remain in safe areas, avoiding places where floods and stagnant water collect, as well as valleys. They advised against swimming in these areas as they are unsuitable and pose danger. People are urged to adhere to the instructions announced through various media and social media channels due to the continued thunderstorm rains affecting most regions of the Kingdom until next Saturday.
It was clarified that the Riyadh region will be affected by moderate to heavy rain, which may lead to flooding, hail, and strong downward winds stirring dust and sand, impacting the capital Riyadh along with Diriyah, Al-Muzahmiyah, Dhurma, Al-Qawiyyah, Hota Bani Tamim, Al-Harq, Al-Kharj, Al-Aflaj, Al-Sulayyil, and Wadi Al-Dawaser, as well as the regions of Al-Baha, Aseer, and the Eastern Province.
The Makkah region will experience moderate rainfall and strong downward winds stirring dust and sand in parts of Taif, Maysan, Udhm, and Al-Kamil, as well as in the regions of Al-Madinah and Jazan.
Furthermore, the Riyadh region is expected to experience light to moderate rains accompanied by strong downward winds stirring dust and sand, impacting the capital Riyadh, Diriyah, Shuqrah, Al-Muzahmiyah, Ramah, Al-Majma'ah, Thadiq, Al-Ghat, Al-Zulfi, Marat, Harimla, Al-Dawadmi, Afif, Al-Qawiyyah, Hota Bani Tamim, and Al-Harq, as well as regions in Aseer and Al-Qassim. The Makkah region will also see light rain and strong downward winds stirring dust and sand, affecting Turbah, Rania, Al-Muwiah, Al-Khurmah, Qunfudhah, Al-Ardiyat, and the regions of Najran and the Eastern Province.
