Qassem: We Will Not Withdraw from the Confrontation and Will Not Retreat from Supporting Gaza

The Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah, Naeem Qassem, stated at a memorial event in Beirut that "any Israeli violation of the established limits in the confrontation will be met with a proportional response, and any escalation that reaches a certain level will be confronted accordingly, even if it leads to the utmost we can do." He emphasized that "there will be no withdrawal from the confrontation and no retreat from support and protection, and we cannot accept closing this file until the Gaza file is closed and the firing stops there." He added: "They tell us in Lebanon that we should separate Lebanon from Gaza; we say that this support is support for Gaza and support for Lebanon as well, because anyone who sees what is happening in Gaza knows that if they remain silent, they will be next, and they know that if they let the Israelis act arrogantly, it will put them in a position where they will grow bolder and believe they can do whatever they want."
