One of the Israeli female prisoners who was held by "Al-Qassam Brigades" wrote a farewell message to the resistance members who accompanied her throughout her detention, expressing her gratitude and praising their kind treatment. In the message, the woman said: "To the generals who accompanied me in the last few weeks, it seems we will part ways tomorrow, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the extraordinary humanity you showed towards my daughter, Emilia. You treated her like your own child, inviting her into your room at every opportunity she wanted. She recognizes that you are all her friends and not just acquaintances, but true, kind loved ones. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the many hours you spent like caregivers."
The woman added in her message: "Thank you for being patient with her and showering her with sweets, fruits, and everything available even if it wasn’t accessible. Children should not be in captivity, but thanks to you and other kind people we met along the way, my daughter considered herself a queen in Gaza, and she generally feels that she is the center of the world."
She continued: "We did not encounter anyone along this long journey, from the fighters to the leaders, who did not treat her with tenderness, compassion, and love. I will forever be a prisoner of gratitude because she did not leave here with lasting psychological trauma. I will remember your kindness shown here despite the difficult situation you were dealing with and the severe losses you suffered here in Gaza."
She concluded: "May this world appreciate for us to be truly good friends. I wish you all health and well-being, health and love to you and your families. Thank you very much. Daniela and Emilia."
