Brentford, competing in the English Premier League, announced today, Saturday, the permanent signing of Romeo, the son of former England captain David Beckham, for the B team after a loan period. The 20-year-old was part of the squad that won the Premier League Cup last May, a competition run by the league for U21 teams. Beckham, the son of the owner of Inter Miami and a co-owner of the American club, played 15 matches with Brentford's B team and scored one goal during his loan period. Brentford's B team coach, Neil MacFarlane, said, "We have added Romeo to our squad, and he has been fantastic in the group." He added, "We have continued to develop him both with the ball and without it, and we look forward to having him back in good spirits to continue working with him next season."
