The Director General of the Tunisian National Railway Company, Tawfik Boufaid, confirmed today, Friday, the success of the trial journey between Tunisia and Algeria, after a halt of 28 years (since 1996). During a phone call to the "Sabah Al-Ward" program, Boufaid explained that "the trip started with an Algerian train from the city of Annaba, lasting 8 hours." He added that a decision on the official launch will be made in the coming weeks, noting that "the travel schedule will consist of one outbound and one return trip daily, initially with an Algerian train, starting from Annaba and then covering all of Algeria."
