Security Deployment in Baghdad by the Counter-Terrorism Agency

A security source reported today, Tuesday, about a heavy deployment by the Counter-Terrorism Agency in central Baghdad. The source stated that "the Counter-Terrorism Agency has deployed at the Baghdad University intersection in the Jadriyah area." It added that "the deployment included the Freedom Square intersection to the descent of the Al-Tabaqain Bridge in Karrada." Earlier, three American restaurants in various areas of Baghdad were targeted by bomb attacks and explosives by masked individuals, along with acts of vandalism without revealing the motives. The goals and reasons behind these regular attacks on American restaurants in Baghdad remain unclear, amid speculation that these attacks may be linked to the war in Gaza, as there has previously been a boycott of these restaurants and brands worldwide, including in Iraq, due to their main branches supporting Israel.
