Ferrari's New Model Inspired by the 1960s

The renowned Italian company Ferrari has unveiled a new sports car featuring an internal combustion engine priced at 395,000 euros ($423,000), boasting impressive power. According to Bloomberg, the new car is named "12Cilindri," and there is a convertible version available for 435,000 euros ($467,000). It is inspired by Ferrari models from the 1960s and offers a new option amidst many models that have already sold out.

The two-seater vehicle demonstrates Ferrari's ability to sell cars at an average price four times that of Porsche, the German company known for its luxury sports cars, as reported by Bloomberg. Ferrari has increased prices and benefited from wealthy buyers being less affected by inflation and rising interest rates. While the company has begun transitioning to electric vehicles, it still heavily relies on highly profitable internal combustion engines to bolster profit margins.

The new car was unveiled on Thursday in Miami ahead of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in the city. It features a 12-cylinder engine with an output of 819 horsepower. Deliveries of the coupe version will begin by the end of this year, with the convertible version expected in early 2025. A spokesperson for the company declined to comment on the number of vehicles that will be manufactured from this model.

The car weighs 1,560 kg, has a top speed of over 211 mph (339 km/h), and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds.
