The White House announced on Thursday that "U.S. President Joe Biden will travel to Normandy and Paris from June 5 to June 9 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Normandy during World War II." The statement further clarified that "Biden will deliver a speech on this occasion on June 6 and will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on June 8 as part of an official visit."
