MP Michel Moussa, a member of the "Development and Liberation" bloc, emphasized the necessity of preserving the Army institution at all costs. In a statement to "Voice of Lebanon," Moussa noted that the government still has time concerning the extension file for the Army Commander, clarifying that President Nabih Berri will call for a legislative session in the coming days if the government struggles to find a resolution to the issue. The council is prepared to organize a legislative session in this context. In response to a question about whether the extension law would receive the required votes in Parliament, Moussa stated that some blocs have not yet finalized their positions, and things will become clear once the session is called. Commenting on the concerns raised by Hamas's statement on Monday, Moussa urged for verification of the statement's validity and source, considering that the current situation does not allow for further political debates while all parties are united in support of the cause in the south.
