Iran's interim Foreign Minister Ali Baqeri Kani announced during a press conference in Beirut that "Iran and Saudi Arabia have taken effective steps to build comprehensive cooperation between the two countries." He explained that "during his discussions with officials in Lebanon, he proposed the idea of holding a meeting for the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation." He emphasized that "the Palestinian resistance on the ground has proven to be mature enough to make decisions regarding the future."
Kani viewed that "what is being promoted for normalization between Israel and countries in the region is nothing but a failed plan for Israel and its supporters." He added, "What we are witnessing in terms of the unity of the resistance arenas in the region is due to the Israeli crimes in Gaza, and the outlines of foreign policy are set by Iranian institutions and approved by Mr. Khamenei." He stressed that "the resistance has now turned into a global phenomenon and the relationship between Iran and Lebanon is comprehensive," announcing that he "renewed the Iranian proposal to deliver fuel to Lebanon to Lebanese officials."
