Huawei to Move Its Middle East Headquarters to Riyadh

The Chinese technology company "Huawei" is considering Riyadh as its main headquarters in the Middle East, amid efforts by Saudi Arabia to establish itself as a regional business hub. Bloomberg reports that Huawei Technologies intends to relocate its regional headquarters to Riyadh and is in talks with Saudi officials to strengthen its presence in the country.

Sources familiar with the matter noted that the company, which already has offices in the Saudi capital and other cities across the Middle East, is negotiating with Riyadh authorities to enhance its operations in the kingdom.

It was mentioned that the company has not made a final decision yet, and a company spokesperson declined to comment, despite the fact that the company currently has a regional office in Dubai and Bahrain. Sources indicate that Huawei is set to move its regional headquarters from Dubai to Riyadh in compliance with Saudi law, which will prevent dealings with any global foreign company unless it has a regional office within Saudi territory before the end of 2024.
